The course is 13k or 8 miles. Racers have the option to race 1, 2, or 3 laps.
3 laps is 40k, for triathletes training for that distance.
The number of laps is used as a component of race categories for medals.
The Starting Line is approximately 10 yards north of the entrance to the parking lot. The finish line is a similar distance south of the entrance.
The course starts off heading North and then turns due East to the first of 2 U-turns around the 2 mile mark. After the U-turn it is about 2 miles back West and then due South for approximately 2 miles to the next U-turn. After that it is a race to the finish due North.
The course is very flat and miles of it are newly paved.
There is very little traffic, if any, on this road during the races. That, combined with the long distance of road visibility, make this a very safe course for beginners and a fast one for the serious racers.
The Wednesday Night Time Trials take place on public roads with a posted speed limit of 35mph. All rules of the road apply and safety on the course away from the start/finish area is the responsibility of each racer.
